I would like to present BIGSCOPE 32
This is the largest portable visual telescope. Two people can unload it from a minivan and set it up in 15 minutes. It is designed such that the largest parts weigh less than 65Kg. The primary mirror is 0.81 meter in diameter. It has a folded optical configuration that brings the eyepiece to a convenient standing height. The structures utilize the methods of the most modern giant telescopes. The three optical elements have precision kinematic support systems to maintain a precise optical figure and alignment at all attitudes.
There is no other telescope in this category. This is an evolution from my current BS30 design. This website is intended to share the most important design details. You are invited to share comments and good ideas with us.
BS32 is different. It provides a better quality experience. The optical elements are made from fused quartz. The drive system is very accurate and motion smooth. The telescope allows manual motion. The construction is stiff and reliable. The assembly process is positive and accurate. The user interface is an OLED touch screen powered by a raspberry pi.
